The advantages of buying your own e-commerce website

Branding

A brand is a companies identity, it defines how we feel about the company and has values associated with it and is more than just a logo.  If I asked what BMW meant to you, you would probably associate it with words such as quality, a drivers car and many others.

Making sure your business has the right look and feel for your customers and portrays the right image is very important.  Choosing a standard template from the internet which is the same as everyone elses can often seem like a good idea to save money, however a business can often be shooting its self in the foot as a quality designed website can generate leads and business and is often a users first point of contact with a business.

Usability

When buying a templated system off the internet you have no flexibility to change how something works.  We find that clients often become frustrated by being fixed into a very rigid system and it will often leave to ditching the system and starting again from scratch.

Costs

Templated systems which can be rented for a few hundred pounds a year are a cost effective option when starting to sell online for the first time.  However these are quickly outgrown and the labour cost of starting a new system from scratch and reinputting data again is often far greater than if they had started life with a custom system.

If you ever wished to sell your e-commerce business, then a rented system would have no value as you don't own it.  Our custom system become more valuable the more successful they are!

Further Development

Templated systems such as 1and1's eShop have no flexibility into further development for future expansion.  If you wished to add extra functionality to the system to automate the trivial tasks which occupy lots of time this would not be possible.  Our systems have complete flexibility and can be upgraded and developed to work in any way you desire.
