Jonathan Lee, Bright Red Media’s senior developer, has a BSc in Web Development & Multimedia. He began his career at a web development agency, starting as the junior and leaving after three years as their senior web developer, having worked on a wide variety of projects, including E-commerce sites.

Jonathan then moved to a busy E-commerce company which started life as a bedroom operation but rapidly expanded into a large organisation, taking over 900 orders a day!

Whilst Jonathan was leading the team of 5 web developers, the company launched 50 new E-commerce websites in 18 months. Many of these sites featured custom written software such as integration with an in house purchase order systems, warehouse integration, API/message notification, dynamic PDF creation and a host of other complex functionality!

The business grew into an international company with a £60 million turnover, operating in 6 languages and multi currencies and taking almost 5000 orders and up to £250,000 a day!

As well as initial E-commerce site development, the company’s services also included system maintenance, upgrades, mail shots, payment system integration, setting up blogs, Search Engine Optimisation (SEO) analysis and bug fixing to keep business critical systems online. Jonathan then went on to fulfil his ambition to run his own E-commerce web development company by launching Bright Red Media.
